Reputation Leaders, in partnership with international online panel company Research Now, conducted the 2017 Norton Wi-Fi Risk Report, an online global omnibus survey of more than 15,000 consumers in 15 countries. It explored consumer perceptions, practices and knowledge about the safety of public Wi-Fi connections.
The research was commissioned by Symantec Corporation, the world’s leading cyber security company, helping organizations, governments and people secure their most important data wherever it lives.
In the recently published report, findings revealed that many people are aware of the risks of public Wi-Fi, but are not necessarily changing their behaviours and may be unknowingly placing their personal information at risk.
The survey has wider implications for Symantec in positioning them as a thought leader and world expert in cyber security, specifically consumer protection and security software, and providing a platform on which to offer consumer advice and promote products such as Symantec’s Norton Wi-Fi Privacy.
